Untitled (1973), Framed Canvas by Junior Toscanelli
A handful of figures gather around a table, their faces reduced to just enough detail to let the story unfold in your own imagination. Soft pinks, warm creams, and earthy browns keep the scene loose and playful, while a quick splash of flowers steals the spotlight.
Born in Germany in 1971, Junior Toscanelli studied painting at the Düsseldorf State Academy of Art, becoming a master student of Markus Lüpertz, one of Germany's best-known contemporary artists. His work has been exhibited at the Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg and the Kunstmuseum Bonn, where his distinctly loose, exploratory style continues to push beyond traditional figurative painting.
Some paint cracking and minor imperfections on the canvas surface.
