Swiss artist Annapia Antonini, born in Lugano in 1942, studied at Paris's prestigious Académie Julian and later with master printmaker Johnny Friedlaender, developing the quiet precision that became a hallmark of her still-lifes, landscapes, and interiors. Here, the fruit is gently defined while the window fades into mist, leaving the watercolour suspended somewhere between breakfast and daydream.
