Lucite and Chrome Waterfall Chair by Charles Hollis Jones

Regular price
In Stock

A chair that nearly disappears, until it steals the room. Designed by Charles Hollis Jones, the California-based creative affectionately known as the “Prince of Lucite,” this 1960s waterfall chair reflects his lasting influence on the use of acrylic in high-design furniture. Jones helped bring Lucite out of the realm of novelty and into the language of collectible design, using transparency, reflection, and structure with a distinctly architectural hand. Constructed from chrome-plated steel and clear acrylic, this chair balances crisp geometry with an airy sling form. Some wear and markings are present on the frame, consistent with age and use. Each chair is signed and dated by the designer.
