Painted by German painter and graphic designer Frank el Punto (Frank Ludwig Schaefer, 1909–1972), who settled in Ibiza in 1955, the work reflects the lyrical abstraction that defined his practice. Schaefer adopted the playful pseudonym "Frank el Punto" after arriving on the island, a joking stage name that remained with him for the rest of his career.
