F580 'Groovy' Chair, Newly Upholstered by Pierre Paulin

The Groovy Chair was designed in 1971 by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, at a moment when furniture was getting lower, softer, and far more sculptural. Its sweeping, continuous curves and close-to-the-ground stance capture that early ’70s shift toward relaxed, informal living. Built from moulded foam over an internal frame and fully upholstered so the structure disappears, it reads as one fluid form rather than a constructed object. Compact yet generous, it’s a confident, design-forward lounge chair that still feels completely current.
