"Cutlery set composed of one table spoon, one table fork, one table knife, one dessert fork, one tea spoon in 18/10 stainless steel mirror polished with mat handle.
Design Awards: Compasso d'Oro, 1984
" DRY was awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1984 and is present in the collections of many museums all over the world.
It was the Alessi’s first model of cutlery. With its regular, parallelepiped shape, unheard-of at the time of its presentation (1982) but surprisingly practical in its use, it is one of the most innovative cutlery models of the 20th century.
The Dry cutlery set is available in mirror polished or mat steel, marks Alessi's debut in cutlery production.
Despite gloomy initial forecasts from Alessi's own employees, it has amply demonstrated that the iconic and innovative force of its form, together with exceptional tactile pleasure in its use and an excellent finish, are a lot more important to the public than many long-held market prejudices would have us believe.
Designed by Achille Castiglioni proved its innovative shape and resolute style, along with extreme manageability and an excellent finish.
