Hans Wegner conceived of this chair when he was searching for a christening gift for the son of his friend (and fellow furniture designer) Børge Mogensen. When he couldn't find a suitable gift for Peter, he crafted the gift himself. The idea was to create a piece that would work as both a functional piece of furniture and an engaging toy.
Designed as a life-size three-dimensional puzzle, the kid-sized chair is easily assembled without the use of tools.
