Somewhere between a sofa, a cloud and a very chic science experiment. Mario Bellini’s Via Lattea brings together four pillowy, air-filled forms that can be rearranged at will and zipped together. Wrapped in translucent white fabric, the inflated forms can light up from within, casting a soft, diffused glow. Designed with Bellini’s unmistakable curiosity, this 2008 example makes sitting down considerably more interesting.

Notable wear with markings throughout, consistent with age.
