The handcrafted tiles, which were produced for about 15 years - from the mid 1960s to the late 1970s - were produced by a technique in which real leaves were pressed into the clay and disintegrated during firing, leaving a finely detailed imprint.

The leaves come from "La Garrigue", regrouping all types of vegetation indigenous to southeastern France where Roger Capron worked and which inspired this series of tables.

The wood base provides a strong support for the round tiled top.

Stamped with the artist's mark.
