Resting on a base with five cylindrical legs, Freemont by Ettore Sottsass appears to grow strongly from the bottom to the top. With its fractured shapes, it branches out into the space until it becomes the visual center of the room like a new and modern tree of life. Its forms evoke thoughts of Asia, recalling the Japanese temple architecture that Sottsass encountered on one of his numerous travels.
Designed in 1985. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.
Sideboard covered in wood veneer and decorative laminate, veiled in gold leaf.
