Created in 1974, this mixed media work is by German artist Hans-Jürgen Karius (1947), who studied at the Kölner Werkschulen before completing his studies as a Meisterschüler at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. Drawing inspiration from nature, his work pares back familiar views into quiet, abstract compositions.
